Interactive Urban Ag Zoning Map
Grown in the City has launched an “Interactive Urban Agriculture Zoning Map” to track urban agriculture zoning across the United States. At this point the map is meant to show trends in urban agriculture zoning. If you would like to find the actual text of the ordinance, please visit the planning department of the city in question.
The initial list of cities comes from Urban Agriculture: Creating Healthy, Sustainable Places , a product of the American Planning Association’s Planning and Community Health Research Center (with data in the tables of links to City Planning Departments populated by GitC). The report has a complete list with weblinks to the ordinance text, and full text of the ordinance, which is not posted here. We will be adding additional user-submitted data as it comes in.
Do you know of a community with urban agriculture zoning? Let us know by filling out the Urban Ag Zoning Database Form and we’ll add it to the map.
